Service Description

*Class offered upon request* This beginner/novice friendly course will allow students to complete their Texas license to carry course (optional), train on the basics of utilizing their handgun, develop confidence, learn personal protection handgun tactics, obtain life saving medical skills for treating injuries, and become life saving assets to their families. We strive to create a non-threatening, comfortable environment for students to learn the basics of safety, handling, and deployment of their personal defensive firearm. Range Day Itinerary (6 hours) 1) Basic Weapons Handling, Operations & Safety 2) Fundamentals of Pistol Marksmanship (50 rounds)    2.1) LTC Qualification Shoot (50 rounds) 3) Remedial Action, Malfunction and Reloading Basics (50 rounds) 4) Basic Defensive Handgun Tactics (100 rounds) 5) Tactical Medical Principles and Interventions ( bleeding control, airway management and other trauma care skills)  ***For students wanting their Texas License to Carry through this course: Step 1) Enroll, pay the $45 online fee, and complete the self paced classroom portion at: https://onlinetexasltc.com/redhorse-defense Step 2) On range day, you will shoot your qualification and your completion paperwork for submission to Texas DPS will be signed off and completed.
